Brian Yeatman joins Save the Children Communications Committee (March
2009)
In March 2009, Brian Yeatman accepted Charlie McCormack’s
(CEO Save the Children) invitation to join the Communications Committee.
Mr McCormack asked Brian Yeatman to join specifically to utilise his
marketing experience and to help raise the charities profile internationally.
Brian Yeatman commented that “now more than ever, raising funds
given the economic climate will be hard, but with the right strategy
we can fund all our programmes. If we fail we not only let ourselves
down but much more importantly the children whom we aim to protect”.
SPW Board Members Visit India and Nepal Programmes (January
2009)
In January 2009, several SPW USA board directors visited
programs in India and Nepal over a two-week period. The directors traveled
to rural areas from bases in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India and Kathmandu,
Nepal. While there, they observed western and national SPW volunteers
teaching health, life skills, livelihoods, and education in underserved
areas.
Yeatman Foundation Grant Award (September
2008)
The Yeatman Foundation signs multi-year
financial commitment for the newly formed SPW Capital Growth Campaign.
Brian Yeatman commented that “SPW is the kind of charity I like.
Well run, efficient, helps people on the ground and knows how to get
the most out of the resources they have. I am delighted to continue my
financial commitments to SPW and look forward to seeing more great results
in the country programmes”.
Brian Yeatman leads mission to Tanzania and Uganda to raise
funds and awareness (May 07)
In May 2007 Brian Yeatman led a group of potential donors,
media and policy influencers on a 17 day mission to remote areas of Tanzania
and Uganda. The primary purpose was to “check-in” with the
multiple programmes supported in those countries and to raise awareness
of the issues and desperate plight facing so many in the region especially
the young... 
Cherie Blair hosts Charity reception at No10 Downing Street (Sept 06)
Brian Yeatman met with Mrs Blair when she kindly opened
No10 to praise the activities and expansion of the charity over the
past few years, Mrs Blair said she was particularly touched by the charity’s
focus on young girls, empowering them in their communities and giving
them the neccessary life skills for the future.
Reception held for charity at Number 11 Downing Street (Jul 2005)
In July, Brian Yeatman attended a reception at Number 11 Downing
Street hosted by Rt Hon Harriet Harman MP, honouring one of his designated
charities, SPW. A host of business leaders, including Chairmen and CEOs of
FTSE 500 companies were invited to learn more about SPW... 
Yeatman Conducts US policy tour ahead of ‘momentous’ year
for development (Dec 2004)
In December 2004, Brian Yeatman and representatives from
the Yeatman Foundation conducted a policy tour of the United States, seeing
decision makers and high-level officials from organisations like UNICEF to
policymakers in the US Senate to Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs)... 
Yeatman chairs US board of Trustees (Dec 2004)
In December, Mr Yeatman chaired the first meeting of the
United States board of trustees of Students Partnership Worldwide. Brian
Yeatman will lead the board as it develops a much greater presence in the
