Baroness Uddin poses with the creative design firm, Colour Pallette, who purchased the gift package enabling Oxfam to dig wells, purchase water purifications tablets and other vital aid to the families devastated by floods.

In August, Baroness Uddin and Oona King MP approached the Yeatman Foundation to help provide relief for those affected by the catastrophic floods in Bangladesh. The Yeatman Foundation responded by making a substantial contribution to the Bangladesh Emergency Flood Appeal which the Baroness chairs. On 14 September, members of the Foundation attended a Bangladesh Emergency Flood Appeal benefit event in Canary Wharf.

Oona King MP stated that the foundations auction contribution was her 'favourite of the evening'.

As a gift for the charity auction, the Foundation contributed a 'Bangladesh Aid Package'. The package will help Baroness Uddin's charity relief efforts build many dry wells, schools, water re-hydration tablets, and other essential needs. Baroness Uddin won the package after a highly contested bidding war with others in the audience. In announcing the package, Oona King called the prize 'her favourite of the event'.

The total proceeds of the event were over £20,000, the greatest majority of which will go directly to provide relief in Bangladesh. Brian Yeatman, Chairman of the Yeatman Foundation said, 'We are so impressed with the work that Baroness Uddin and Oona King and their staffs did to put on this event. Their hard work and determination will bring an amazing amount of relief to people in the greatest need.'
